1965 Fender Jazz Bass

Located in Portland, OR

For your consideration a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass with a rare Olympic White over Sunburst finish! This bass was likely hanging on Fenders “finished” wall with a sunburst finish when they received a special ordered for an Olympic White Jazz Bass with matching headstock, rather than build a new bass they just refinished this one! This was actually quite common but you don’t always get a chance to see it peak through! Extremely cool all original example of what was going on at the Fender factory in the mid 60s. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard! Original Jazz bass pick ups and electronics! Love the original strap button on the back of the head stock! Comes with its original pick up and bridge cover!

This is all original, in good condition and comes with its original hard shell case. 34″ scale length. 1.5″ nut width. Maple neck with a depth of .785″ (1st fret) and .98″ (12th fret). Neck pocket stamped 7MAR65A. Brazilian rosewood round laminate fingerboard with a 7.5″ radius. Original 20 narrow frets. Original nickel tuners and strap button on back of head stock. Olympic white headstock. Alder body finished in Olympic white over Sunburst. Original two Fender Jazz Bass single coil pick ups with original wiring. Original top loaded nickel bridge.
