Description

Like a Phoenix this guitar is starting a new life! For your consideration a 1930 Gibson Nick Lucas in ebony! For a number of years the Nick Lucas model has been praised for its sound and playability. Designed with and for Nick Lucas (an early guitar hero) it features a deep back that creates a beautiful bass and mid range voice will still retaining its crisp clear treble. 12 frets to the body was great for his finger picking style. At 92 years old this well loved guitar was on its last leg, thankfully our good friend Todd Mylett at Portland Fret Works had all the remedies to bring this wonderful guitar back to life! They gave it a new old stock Adirondack spruce top, beautifully finished it. The new top includes new bracing, a new bridge and bridge plate. Performed a neck reset, refret, cleaned up old repairs, glued the back and gave it a new bone nut and saddle. Needless to say this guitar has a clean bill of health and is ready to start a new life!
